Meet the Director of The Lightning Thief!

Heather Arnold

Heather Arnold has been involved in theatre since she was seven years old and dance since she was three. Having found her passion in performing, she took every opportunity over the years to be on stage and learn all she could through classes and camps. She fell in love with choreographing and directing as a teenager and has been blessed to have many opportunities to do both over the years. Some of her favorite shows she’s directed or choreographed include Newsies, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Tuck Everlasting and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

She has had the amazing opportunity to teach a variety of classes and camps over the years in various settings around the community and that has been a huge influence on her role here as the director of camps and classes! She loves getting to watch her students grow more confident as performers and as humans as they learn new skills and establish friendships that will last a lifetime. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire creativity and confidence in her students and encourage them to pursue whatever brings them joy as well as to create a safe space for students to be themselves!

When Heather is not at The Stage Oconee, she enjoys spending time with her friends, eating at Chilis, reading, writing, watching movies, playing board games, and daydreaming of the characters and worlds she’s created inside her head!
